About Me

When we work together, I will support you to search your mind, your body, your heart and your soul to find balance and clarity, assisting you to better understand yourself and become present in everyday life.

I believe that the most impactful therapy is one that tailors a diverse range of scientifically validated methods and interventions to suit your individual and unique needs, rather than imposing rigid modalities onto you.
I use an integrated, person-centred and trauma informed approach that takes into account your unique past along with present life events and experiences. My goal is to inspire you to become more empowered and help you reconnect with your strength and resilience. It’s about listening attentively to what it is you want to change or achieve.

My Approach

My holistic approach is different to traditional therapies. Instead of only focusing on managing symptoms of mental and emotional imbalances and concerns, we will also explore subconscious and unconscious coping strategies, personality traits and behaviours to gently discover the root cause of your fears, insecurities, anxieties or sabotaging life patterns.

I concentrate on all the elements that make you YOU! Your life experiences, your core beliefs and values, your spiritual beliefs and your physical health.

Individual Counselling

Holistic counselling is an approach to therapy that considers the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. It emphasizes treating the whole person rather than just focusing on specific symptoms or issues. Dani takes into account a person's physical health, emotional state, social relationships, past or present traumas and personal stressors when developing treatment and management plans.

  • I started my healing journey with Dani early this year. When I first started seeing Dani, I was an absolute mess. "Rock bottom" so to speak. 

    It was the first time I have spoken to a professional about alot of childhood trauma and Dani immediately made me feel safe and comfortable to share my story.

  • When I started my sessions with Dani my mind was all over the place, I was in a rut and couldn’t get myself out of it. Walking into the safe space of Dani’s office I straight away felt like I was going to be ok, listened to and not judged. I normally have trouble trusting people enough to open up and tell my story but with Dani’s warm smile and calm demeanour, I felt like I could open up very quickly and felt like my story was being heard and that I wasn’t being judged at all.

    That’s when the healing really began.

    After many weekly sessions my mind was a lot clearer and I had gained a lot of knowledge and understanding of where I was going wrong and what I had to do to move forward. With Dani’s patience and guidance and lots of sessions, I was confidently able to say that I was ready to face the world with my new skills that I had been taught.

  • I could not have been at a lower point in my life, I felt so helpless and worthless with severe anxiety and depression. After separating from my wife, guilt played a major part in how I was feeling, I was also battling loneliness. 

    Dani’s counselling made so much sense, we explored my upbringing to get to the bottom of why my overthinking and sensitivity were playing a major role in everything. Dani explained to me how I could take control of who I really am and she helped me identify my positive qualities and what my core beliefs meant to me. 

    Thankfully I'm in a much better head space and life is worth living. Dani always said it is up to me to get my life back on track and I'm not sure I could have done that without her caring guidance.

  • I had been holding on to a lot of negative emotions, including resentment and anger, around/after the birth of my baby, which I was having difficulty overcoming and moving on from. From the first time I met and spoke to Dani, I felt seen and heard and that my feelings were valid. 

    Dani made me feel comfortable to open up and listened to me without judgement for why I was thinking and feeling these things. With Dani's guidance, I have been able to see past the fog that was clouding my thoughts, see things from another perspective, and I can challenge my thoughts and stop them in their tracks. She gave me a handful of extremely helpful tools and resources that I can call upon at anytime of the day or night and in different situations, for if those negative thoughts start to creep in, to stop myself spiralling out of control of my thoughts and emotions. 

    I am now sleeping better, getting more enjoyment from motherhood and appreciating my family - overall I am in a much better place. I know I wouldn't be where I am today if I hadn't taken the (difficult) first step of making the appointment to finally go speak to someone. I'm so glad I did and so grateful that someone was Dani

  • I have been working with Dani over the past month to manage my stress and anxiety. I have been struggling with my mental wellbeing for a while where it would fluctuate from really good to really bad. Some days go from feeling stressed to anxious and then lead into days of depression. 

    I was emotionally and physically exhausted. Dani has been giving me mindfulness exercises to help keep me in the present moment rather than worrying about the past or future. She’s been helping me to challenge my thoughts which helps me take back some control. 

    Dani and I have also been working on what the underlying issues of the anxious thoughts are which has helped me change my core beliefs about myself. Since working with Dani I'm feeling myself again, Im happier, healthier and getting back to the things I enjoy.

Couples Counselling

Gottman Couples Therapy Level 2
Couples counselling, is a therapeutic process designed to help couples improve satisfaction in their relationship and resolve conflicts while increasing love, trust and connection. It provides a safe and confidential space for partners to explore their thoughts, feelings, and communication patterns under the guidance of a trained therapist.

My goal is to enhance understanding, strengthen emotional bonds, and develop healthier ways of interacting with each other. This type of therapy can address a wide range of issues such as communication problems, conflicts, intimacy issues, trust issues, infidelity, and major life transitions.
Couples counselling typically involves both partners attending sessions together, although individual sessions may also be recommended depending on the situation.

I use an integrated, person centred and trauma informed approach while working collaboratively with you both to identify underlying issues, improve communication skills, and develop effective strategies for resolving conflicts and building a stronger, more fulfilling relationship.

My Journey

My own journey towards holistic health and wellbeing began in 2011 after experiencing major health challenges and again after the death of my Mother in 2015. Throughout this time, I experienced and ignored emotional and physical burnout and exhaustion while operating a busy and consuming 7 day business.

So, I embarked on a journey of processing my grief, learning to quiet my mind so I could hear what my heart was saying and feel what my soul was trying to tell me.
I became conscious of unhealthy autopilot patterns, childhood conditioning and limiting belief systems. I gained the ability to let go of control, to listen empathetically, not just to my own heart but to others as well. I acknowledged my grief, found my purpose, I got out of my head and into my heart – after all that’s where the true answers lie.

Individual Counselling Fees

$120 per 1-hour session
No hoops to jump through! You don’t need a referral from a Doctor to see me. You can simply contact me to find out how I can best support you through your current journey.

Fees are payable upon booking via my website, however if you would like to pay by cash on the day you can do so by contacting me to make your appointment for you. Cash is not held on the premises so no change can be given.

I currently work outside the Medicare and private health care scheme, so there are no rebates to claim. If you have any questions or queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
